On June 12, 2022, at 1440 hours, I was dispatched to [200 BLOCK] Elks Street, in reference to a domestic that occurred at [200 BLOCK] Elks Street. I responded non-emergency due to the call being a third party.

Upon arrival, I met with the complainant, who identified herself as [REDACTED], who advised she witnessed a domestic that occurred at [200 BLOCK] Elks Street Apartment [REDACTED]. [REDACTED] stated a male was hitting a female over the whole body with a closed fist, dragging the female from the yard by her hair and forced into a vehicle.

The female was yelling “bloody murder”. [REDACTED] wasn’t able to identify the male or female. [REDACTED] kept saying that it was “bad bad bad”. [REDACTED] stated the male sped away with the female in the vehicle when she tried to confront the vehicle.

A Bolo was already given by Winder Police Department in reference to the suspicious vehicle. I gathered all the information to make the report.

[REDACTED] called law enforcement again at 1555 hours, stated the vehicle had returned and the female was yelling, and the male was beating on the female. Deputy Johnson and I confronted [WITNESS #1], [WITNESS #2], and [WITNESS #3] and asked about the domestic dispute.

All parties stated that [WITNESS #3] yelled at [WITNESS #1] and [WITNESS #2] to get in the car for the funeral. [WITNESS #3] stated that when she pulled out [REDACTED] came toward her car, and they asked if she was okay but didn’t say anything and so they drove off.

I spoke to [WITNESS #2] and asked if her and [WITNESS #1] got into an argument or anything and she said no and that [WITNESS #3] yelled for them to get in the car. I checked [WITNESS #2]’s arms and legs for any marks, and none were found.

Deputy Johnson went to speak to [REDACTED] to get her side of the situation the second time she called. [REDACTED] told Deputy Johnson that the female was yelling but couldn’t hear what they were saying. [REDACTED] kept telling Deputy Johnson that it was bad, with a grin on her face.

While adding additional information to the CAD, Deputy Johnson saw that I was entering [REDACTED]’s information through GCIC and stated that was not the name she gave him.

Deputy Johnson stated advised “[REDACTED]” gave the name of Erin Peckinpaugh. I ran Erin through GCIC and she returned with active warrants through Gwinnett County. I walked back to where Erin was and the first thing she said was “can I have a cigarette before I go.” Deputy Johnson stated oh, so you know. Erin stated yes.

I asked Erin why did she lie about her name and she denied that she gave a false name. Erin advised that she said [REDACTED] is the one that owns the house. Erin denied giving the name [REDACTED].

I placed Erin in handcuffs to the rear, checked for proper fitting, and double-locked them. Erin was being detained. Erin was then advised she was being arrested for giving a false name, and date of birth.

I transported Erin to the Barrow County Detention Center and turned her over to jail staff. While still at the Detention center I read Erin her Miranda Rights to see if she would answer questions regarding to the domestic, she called in, but Erin refused to answer any questions.

Warrants will be sought out against Erin for OCGA Giving false name, address, or birthdate to law enforcement officers (16-10-25) for lying to me and giving me her sister’s name and date of birth.
