On Monday, February 27, 2023 at approximately 2100 hours, I responded to [60 BLOCK] Jim Lane in reference to a dispute between roommates. Upon arrival I met with Ms. Christi Donaldson, Ms. [VICTIM #1], and Ms. [WITNESS #1].
Ms. Donaldson stated prior to my arrival, Ms. [VICTIM #1] grabbed her by the throat and threw her to the ground. Ms. Donaldson had no visible bruises to her neck. While speaking to Ms. Donaldson she informed me she had been drinking quite a bit this afternoon/evening and I observed her having a hard time keeping a steady gate, she was slurring her speech, and had an odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from her person.
Ms. [VICTIM #1] stated Ms. Donaldson and her were evicted from the residence and were in the processes of moving out. Today, Ms. Donaldson demanded Ms. [VICTIM #1] move out immediately and has been giving her a hard time about it all afternoon. Ms. [VICTIM #1] stated Ms. Donaldson has been drinking heavily and has been getting in her face yelling at her and lunging towards her. Ms. [VICTIM #1] felt like Ms. Donaldson was attempting to instigate a fight between them and she was attempting to remain calm. Ms. [VICTIM #1] stated finally after Ms. Donaldson got in her face again, she pushed her back and told her to get away from her.
Ms. [WITNESS #1] stated Ms. Donaldson has been attempting to instigate a fight with Ms. [VICTIM #1] and was getting in her face and lunging at her. Until Ms. [VICTIM #1] pushed her back to get her out of her face. Ms. [WITNESS #1] stated Ms. Donaldson has been harassing Ms. [VICTIM #1] about moving out and has been drinking heavily this evening.
While continuing to gather information on scene, Ms. Donaldson requested I leave, stating I was taking Ms. [VICTIM #1]’s side and she did not need me here any longer. Ms. Donaldson continued to verbally instigate the situation by yelling to Ms. [VICTIM #1] and Ms. [WITNESS #1] from the other room.
Bartow Fire and Atlanta Metro EMS arrived on scene at Ms. Donaldson’s request to check her out. Ms. Donaldson declined medical treatment on scene and was taken into custody for simple assault – FVA. Ms. Donaldson was placed in handcuffs behind her back, checked for fit, and double locked for safety.
Ms. Donaldson was placed in the rear of my patrol vehicle and transported to the BCSO Jail. While enroute to the Jail, Ms. Donaldson complained of abdominal pain and stated she was going to pass out. I diverted from the Jail and took Ms. Donaldson to Cartersville Piedmont Hospital to be medically cleared prior to going to Jail.
After receiving treatment for stomach pains and being released from the Hospital, Ms. Donaldson was transported to the BCSO jail without incident.
