On Sunday, October 23rd, 2022, at approximately 0621 hours, I was patrolling the area of Hwy 411 and Cline Smith Road in search of an inbound BOLO vehicle. The BOLO was for a Honda Accord [REDACTED] driving reckless. I ran the tag provided in the BOLO through GCIC, and it returned with the registered owner Ms. Desiree Shockley to have a suspended drivers license. I observed the BOLO vehicle pass me going South on Hwy 411 at the intersection of Cline Smith Road. I got turned around on the suspect vehicle and followed it to Joe Frank Harris Parkway where it began to make several erratic lane changes.

I conducted a traffic stop on the suspect vehicle that ended on Joe Frank Harris Parkway, near the intersection of Oak Hill Circle. Upon approaching the suspect vehicle I made contact with the driver/registered owner Ms. Shockley. Ms. Shockley stated that the complainant for the BOLO was following her because they were arguing about a male that they both had a child from. Ms. Shockley stated to me that she had a DUI work permit that she had just gotten a couple days ago, but forgot it at the house. Ms. Shockley also stated to me that she was not on probation. Ms. Shockley did not have any type of permit to drive. Ms. Shockley was placed under arrest by handcuffs behind the back.

Handcuffs were checked for fit and double locked for safety. The suspect vehicle was impounded on scene. Ms. Shockley was transported to Cartersville Police Department for booking/finger printing, but while I was there I discovered she lied about her Probation Status. Ms. Shockley was transported to Bartow County Jail, where she was left in their custody. My issued marked patrol vehicle was checked at the start of shift, before and after each transport and was negative of contraband. I obtained a warrant for Driving with a suspended license.
