On Monday, September 13 2021, at approximately 0025 hours, officers responded to the Waffle House (1355 Joe Frank Harris Parkway) in reference to a welfare check. The caller reported a male (later identified as Jeffery Bozeman) left the Waffle House lot on foot, took off all his clothes and was walking down Joe Frank Harris Parkway.

Upon arrival to the area, Mr. Bozeman was quickly located and placed into the rear of Officer Guthridge’s vehicle. A GCIC/NCIC check of Mr. Bozeman returned with two warrant (one from Elbert County and one from Paulding County) but no extradition was confirmed.

When I asked Mr. Bozeman why he wasn’t wearing clothes, he stated he didn’t want to. Mr. Bozeman was taken into custody, handcuffed to the rear, checked for fit and double locked. As Mr. Bozeman was stark naked, no incident to arrest searched was needed.

Mr. Bozeman was placed into the rear of my car. Mr. Bozeman’s pants were found at the edge of the roadway at Waffle House. [WITNESS #1] stated she called after Mr. Bozeman took off all his clothes. [WITNESS #1] stated Mr. Bozeman was acting weird in Waffle House by wanting to make sure he was in Cartersville, Bartow County, Georgia, USA.

[WITNESS #1] stated Mr. Bozeman had been given directions to Wal Mart and started to walk away when he just took off all his clothes. [WITNESS #1] stated Mr. [WITNESS #2] said something to the effect of He’s (Mr. Bozeman) naked and he thought Mr. [WITNESS #2] was joking so he looked and saw that Mr. [WITNESS #2] wasn’t joking.

A criminal history of Mr. Bozeman showed a previous Public Indecency arrest by the Paulding County Sheriff on October 21 2016 as well as an arrest by Cartersville Police on December 14 2016.

Mr. Bozeman was transported and released to the Bartow County Jail. Mr. Bozeman is charged with one count Public Indecency warrants will be obtained. This incident was captured on BWC as well as Officer Guthridge’s car camera. My issued marked vehicle was checked at the start of shift, before and after each transport with no contraband located.
