On Tuesday, September 14, 2021, at approximately 0235 hours, I was patrolling the area of 30 Komatsu Drive (Pine Mountain Parking Lot).

Upon entering the parking lot I noticed a suspicious vehicle. Upon my approach I made contact with Driver who stated that he and a female, Ms. Kerri Knowles, were sleeping in the vehicle. Upon a GCIC check through Bartow Dispatch Ms. Knowles was found to have an active warrant through Bartow County for Probation Violation. Cartersville dispatch was able to confirm the warrant and Ms. Knowles was placed under arrest, handcuffed to the rear, the handcuffs double locked and checked for fit.

A GCIC check was also done on Driver through Bartow Dispatch, and he was found to be on probation. Due to both subjects probation status a vehicle search was conducted. Inside the passenger side glove department, a cigarette pack was found containing some cash and two baggies that contained a crystal like substance of suspected methamphetamine. After finding the crystal like substance, I approached the two suspects letting them know what I found, as soon as I did Ms. Knowles admitted the drugs to be hers and confirmed that it was indeed methamphetamine.

Ms. Knowles was transported to the Bartow County Jail in my issued marked patrol vehicle which was checked at the beginning and end of transport with no contraband found. The methamphetamine was submitted into evidence weighing 1.0 grams and forwarded to the GBI for further testing. A warrant was obtained for Possession of Methamphetamine and attached to this report. Pictures of the evidence are attached to this report. This incident was captured on my BWC. Nothing further.
