On Monday July 25, 2022 at 2220 hours I was dispatched to [1000 BLOCK] Jones Mill Road in reference to a call about a deceased subject in the woods.

When I arrived on scene Melissa Sawyer was sitting on the ground in the driveway, and there was a very strong odor of alcohol coming from her person. Other responding deputies were with the subject, [REDACTED], who she stated was dead. I relocated to [REDACTED], placed eyes on him and he was in good health. I spoke with [REDACTED] prior to this call for trespassing. He informed me Melissa was not welcome there, and would not leave. When I got there she had left, and he said she was very intoxicated. I relocated back to Melissa, and I had to help her to her feet.

Due to Melissa living in Woodstock, prior knowledge of her bring at the residence and leaving, and returning from Jones Mill Road, Calling 911 for an emergency call that was founded to not be an emergency she was arrested for Disorderly conduct for violation of section 8. Is in a public place under the influence of an intoxicating liquor or drug in such condition as to be unable to exercise care for his own safety or the safety of others. She was transported to the Bartow County Adult Detention Center with no further incident.
