On Monday June 27, 2022 at approximately 1040 hours, I was dispatched to Buffalos located at 117 E Felton Road in reference to trespassing in progress. The caller advised a male was asleep on the patio of the business. Upon arrival I made contact with Mr. Michael Bearden who was passed out in a chair on the patio.

I made multiple attempts to wake Mr. Bearden. Mr. Bearden finally woke up, and appeared to be under the influence. On the table where Mr. Bearden was sitting, I observed an open 42 ounce bottle of Ice House beer, and another bottle sticking out of the top of his backpack.

Other officers had been out with Mr. Bearden for trespassing at two other locations earlier this date. Due to Mr. Bearden being under the influence, and passing out, I advised him he would be going to jail for public drunk. Mr. Bearden was handcuffed behind the back double locked, and checked for fit. Mr. Bearden was searched incident to arrest, and no contraband was located.

Mr. Bearden was placed in the rear seat of my department issued marked patrol vehicle, and transported to the Bartow County Jail where he was released into their custody. The rear seat was searched before shift, and before and after every transport and no contraband was located. Warrants were scanned into the case file.

The encounter was captured on my department issued BWC.
