On 1/7/2023, at approximately 0237 hours, I was patrolling the area of Alabama Street at Elizabeth Village Trailer Park. I passed a white Toyota Camry (Ga Tag: [REDACTED]), hesitating to pull into the roadway from Elizabeth Village. This was suspicious behavior to me. The vehicle then waited till I passed them and was almost out of sight before pulling onto Alabama Street.

I made a U-turn and caught up to the vehicle at the intersection of Alabama Street at Brumbelow Road. When the light turned green, the vehicle took a left-hand turn onto Brumbelow Road. After turning onto Brumbelow Road, the vehicle quickly turned into the West Georgia Liquor store, which was closed at the time. This action, along with their hesitation to pull out of Elizabeth Village, eluded to me that they were trying to avoid being pulled over.

I turned into a business across the street from the liquor store, and the vehicle quickly cut off its lights and sat in a parking place in front of the closed business. Upon further investigation the driver Florencia Alvarado was found to be under the influence of alcohol.

He was arrested and charged with the following:

OCGA 40-6-391A1 DUI- Alcohol Less Safe
OCGA 40-5-20A
