On 11-10-22 I responded to [200 BLOCK] Tyus Carrollton Rd in reference to an in office call.
Upon my arrival I met with [WITNESS #1]. [WITNESS #1] advised me he had let his daughter Julie Powell Ledbetter stay in his apartment which is inside the shop at this address. [WITNESS #1] continued to advise me he has had on going issues with his daughter using drugs in the past and was recently homeless until he allowed her to move in. [WITNESS #1] then stated he and his other daughter [WITNESS #2] had suspicions that Julie was using drugs again inside his apartment.
While on scene I spoke with [WITNESS #2] by phone. [WITNESS #2] advised me she was told by some of her friends that she was naive if she thought he sister Julie was not using drugs again. [WITNESS #2] then advised me she was supposed to take Julie to the doctor today to be tested for AIDS. [WITNESS #2] attempted to contact Julie about taking her to the doctor, but Julie stated she was not going to make it due to being out of town. [WITNESS #2] and [WITNESS #1] then went to the apartment to look for Julie as well as look for signs of drug activity.
When they entered the apartment [WITNESS #2] found a clear plastic bag that contained a crystal like substance of suspected Methamphetamine. [WITNESS #2] also located a plate under the bed which had an amount of crystal like substance of suspected meth along with a cut straw for snorting methamphetamine. [WITNESS #2] took a picture of this and sent it to her other sister [REDACTED] who confirmed it was what looked like methamphetamine.
I was given the narcotics that were found in the residence by the family. I took the plate, cut straw, and baggie of suspected methamphetamine into evidence at this time. [WITNESS #1] was then provided with a case number and advised on how to obtain a copy of this report. [WITNESS #2] typed out a statement which was sent to my county email a print out was made and attached in this report. The plate and suspected Methamphetamine was placed into evidence locker #3. The cut straw was disposed of.
