On August 8, 2022 I responded to [400 BLOCK] Maintree Court in reference to a concern for welfare. I was advised that a female in the house had told someone on the phone that her stomach hurt from being kicked in it.

Upon arrival, I met with Terri and Mark Mctyre in the garage of the residence. Terri appeared to be crying so I had her come over to speak with me away from Mark. Teri told me that she and Mark had been arguing and during the argument, she ripped the ear buds out of Mark’s ears. When she did this, Mark kicked her in the stomach and she retaliated by slapping him across the face with an open hand. She stated that they have been married for over twenty years and this was the first time that they placed hands on each other out of anger. I then attempted to speak with Mark. All Mark would tell me is that whatever Terri said was the truth. He would not elaborate further.

I advised both Terri and Mark they would be arrested for simple battery fva. Neither parties had any marks on their person. I placed Mark into handcuffs and placed him into the passenger compartment of my patrol vehicle. I did not arrest Terri at the time of this report due to her having severe medical problems. She would not have been accepted by the jail staff. I advised her a warrant would be taken and we would arrange for her to turn herself in. Mark was transported to the Carroll County Jail and released to the jail staff.
