On 10-5-22 I responded to [10 BLOCK] Keela St in reference to a GSW.
Upon my arrival multiple units were already on scene. The victim [VICTIM #1] had rode with his girlfriend in her car to Roy North Rd to his mothers house after being shot in the shoulder by Octavious Vaughn. At the time of my arrival Octavious was already detained in the back of Dep. Young’s patrol vehicle. Units on scene were already starting to put crime scene tape up around the residence. I advised Dep. Young to start a crime scene log which is attached with this report.
At this time Inv. Jackson arrived on scene. I advised her of the situation and that the gun used in the shooting was supposedly in the offenders bedroom. Inv. Jackson advised to hold the scene until further. I then had the two other adults on scene [WITNESS #1] and [WITNESS #2] fill out a witness statement form on the incident. SGT Stollar and Inv. S. North arrived on scene and began to process the scene.
Dep. Swafford and I assisted Inv. S. North on the inside of the residence. We located the firearm in Octavious’ bedroom on the dresser. It was a Taurus G2C 9mm pistol. Inv. S. North photographed and bagged the firearm along with Octavious’ cell phone. After the scene was finished being processed it was released. All other units went back in service.
