On 8/4/23 at 1201 hours, I was dispatched to [100 BLOCK] Live Oak Lane in reference to a burglary in progress. When I arrived on scene, I made contact with Mrs. [VICTIM #1]. Mrs. [VICTIM #1] stated the males were wearing all black clothes and were wearing masks. Mrs. [VICTIM #1] stated she ran to her bedroom to get her firearm and call the police.
Mrs. [VICTIM #1] stated as she was in her bedroom, she heard the males trying to kick in her back door. Mrs. [VICTIM #1] stated she then heard her window shatter. Mrs. [VICTIM #1] stated the males had entered her residents without permission through the back window. Mrs. [VICTIM #1] stated the two males then left the residents when the house alarm started to go off. Mrs. [VICTIM #1] stated the males ran into the wood line.
