On 08/12/22 I responded to [1100 BLOCK] S. Rogers St. in reference to some people fighting. Upon arrival, we were speaking to the complainant [WITNESS #1] who works at this location. While speaking with her, a black female in a black Dodge Challenger sped into the parking lot and jumped out of the vehicle screaming at a black male who was sitting inside another vehicle.

Cpl. Barella and I went over to the female and to see what was going on. She was screaming and cursing at the black male who appeared to be a male she had dated. He was talking to a female in a car parked at the fuel pump. The black female was irrate and the black male left the location so she sped off. We then went back to speak with [WITNESS #1] about the initial call. Minutes later [WITNESS #1] advised that tennants were calling her about the black female in the black challenger who was now at the black males house in lot [REDACTED] banging on the door. I advised other units and relocated to lot [REDACTED] where I observed the black female later identified as Ms. Hurst.

Ms. Hurst was now sitting on the porch of the ex boyfriends home. Ms. Hurst was told to leave location numerous times since she did not live at this location. She refused. This is when the black male identifed as Mr. [VICTIM #1], arrived home. Ms. Hurst became even more irrate and began screaming and cursing at Mr. [VICTIM #1]. She then pushed him with both hands in front of officers and kept screaming in his face. Ofc. Lafeuillee began to try to de-escatlate and calm her down. She refused to calm down and would not follow officers commands.

At this point I told Ms. Hurst to turn around and I grabbed her wrists and told her she was going to jail. She tried to get inside her car and leave. I grabbed her left hand and arm and tried to force it behind her back but she kept pulling it in front of her. I then did a leg sweep technique and took Ms. [Hurst] to the grass/ground where we had to physically force her hands behind her back using both hands. Once she was placed in handcuffs she was put inside the rear of Ofc. Lafeuille’s patrol vehicle.

Mr. [VICTIM #1] advised that he and Ms. Hurst lived together for two years prior to breaking up. Pooler Fire Department and supervisors were notified and responded to the scene.

Ms. Hurst was arrested and charged with Simple battery DVA, Obstruction, and Disorderly conduct. She was transported to memorial Medical Center where she was evaluated and cleared. She was then transported and booked in at CCDC. She was given a Pooler Municipal Court date of December 8, 2022 at 10:00AM. Her bond was set a $1210.00. Her vehicle was impounded by Burnsed’s Towing. During the inventory a small amount of green leafy substance was found inside of a plastic bag. The small amount was destroyed.

Mr. [VICTIM #1] was given a Victim Bill of Rights.
