On July 16th, 2023, I was dispatched to [10 BLOCK] Orchid Lane in reference to a domestic. On scene, I spoke with [VICTIM #1] and her two children. [WITNESS #1] and [WITNESS #2] and learned the following:
[VICTIM #1] advised she asked her husband, Justin Ehmen, to come home from the pool; when he arrived home, he was irritated and angered. He began yelling at and choking her; he then continued to yell at her and smacked her in the face.
She had no visible injuries. She advised she scratched Justin in self defense causing him to bleed from his face.
[WITNESS #2] advised his father came home and asked him to grab a box of soda. When he came back, he was told it was the wrong soda, and his father said he would grab the right one. When he came inside, he saw his father yelling and cursing at his mother while choking her. He said his father hit her, and that’s when he ran upstairs, unsure what to do. He said his mother was yelling to call 911. He and his brother went to the neighbor’s door, but they did not answer. They ran down to the pool and let an adult know what was going on, who then called 911.
[WITNESS #1] advised he saw his father hitting and choking his mother. He was yelling at her and cursing. He said he and his brother went to the neighbors but they did not answer, so they ran down to the pool to get help.
I was unable to locate Justin Ehmen.
I completed a lethality form.
