[NARRATIVE #2 on July 27, 2023]
On Thursday, July 27, 2023, at 2:04 A.M., Sergeant C. Woods conducted a traffic stop on a 1978 Chevrolet Impala and requested assistance via radio. I responded to his request for assistance along with Officer B. Lefevers and Officer E. Reeves. Upon my arrival, I met with Sergeant Woods, and he informed me that he noticed the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from the driver, Anthony White, Jr.
I approached Mr. White, who was standing at the rear of the Impala, and began to speak to him. As I was speaking to him, I began to smell the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from his breath. I asked Mr. White if he had consumed any sort of alcoholic beverage, which he repeatedly declined. I asked Mr. White if he would consent to performing Standardized Field Sobriety Tests (SFSTs), to which he declined by saying, “No, I’m good. I’m going to drive home.”
While speaking to Mr. White, I noticed reddening of his conjunctivas of both of his eyes, both eyes appeared to be glassy/watery, and nystagmus at maximum deviation in both of his eyes. Mr. White was extremely talkative as well. In addition to the aforementioned signs of impairment, I observed slurred speech. As a result of my knowledge, training, and experience with impaired drivers, I subsequently placed Mr. White under arrest for DUI-Less Safe (O.C.G.A. 40-6-391(a)(1)).
I conducted a search of Mr. White’s person incident to his arrest, and, while conducting this search, Mr. White’s female passenger began to cause a disturbance while failing to obey lawful commands from all officers that were on scene. Mr. White continued to become increasingly talkative causing me to further notice his slurred speech. Mr. White was placed in the rear of Officer Lefevers’ patrol vehicle and taken to the Austell Police Department for administrative purposes prior to being transported to the Cobb County Sheriff’s Office Adult Detention Center (ADC).
I transported Mr. White to the ADC, and he was asleep the entire ride until arriving at the ADC, when I awakened him. The smell of an alcoholic beverage continued to emit from his breath and filled the patrol vehicle, thus requiring me to roll down windows. Mr. White also exhibited the impaired sign of drowsiness. He was turned over to the ADC.
Mr. White had less than an ounce of marijuana, two open containers of alcoholic beverages (Hennessy and Don Julio), and a firearm that was found by Sergeant Woods during his search incident to an arrest of the Impala. I booked these items were booked into evidence at the Austell Police Department.

[NARRATIVE #3 on July 27, 2023]
On 07/27/2023 at approximately 0204hrs, I observed a White 1978 Chevrolet Impala heading westbound on Maxham Road near Salt Springs Place. I observed the Impala failing to maintain its lane three times, and I initiated a traffic stop at Maxham Rd next to 141 Maxham Rd BP gas station. I observed the female passenger, who was later identified as Tyrica King, raise her head out of the lap area of the male driver, who was identified as Anthony White.
Upon approach to the vehicle, I made contact with Anthony, the driver, who I advised that he was being stopped because he was all over the road. After receiving his driver’s license, I asked Anthony if there was anything in the car I needed to know about, and he advised me that there was a gun under the driver’s seat. While Officer Lefevers watched the passenger, I had Anthony exit the car.
After checking him for any weapons on his person, I removed a Smith & Wesson M&P Shield from under the driver seat where Anthony was sitting. While removing the handgun, the passenger Tyrica, started to act belligerent with Officer Lefevers. I had dispatch run the handgun to see if it was stolen, and it came back not stolen.
Officer Reeves and Alexander arrived to help, and I advised Officer Alexander, who was Field Sobriety Test certified to check Anthony for any signs of driving under the influence. While removing the handgun, I could smell liquor on the gun and my gloves.
Officer Alexander placed Anthony under arrest for DUI (less safe)(see Officer Alexander’s narrative) after smelling liquor and based on his training and experience. There was also an open bottle of Don Julio and Hennessy in the car in plain sight while removing the handgun. There was also one red solo cup under the driver’s seat that, based on my experience, smelled like Hennessy and a second red cup in the passenger side cup holder that still had some brown liquid in it that smelled like Don Julio tequila based on my experience.
Anthony was advised that the passenger, Tyrica, could not drive his car because there was no insurance on the vehicle. Tyrica was told that she could leave the area, and she stated that she was taking a Uber. Officer Lefevers, Reeves, and Alexander told Tyrica to stay out of the roadway while waiting for an Uber to pick her up.
Tyrica, who also had the smell of liquor coming from her, stood in the street yelling at officers, telling us what we could not do. She made several more attempts to get to the patrol SUV where Anthony was located. After multiple officers told Tyrica multiple times not to be in the roadway and stay on the sidewalk, Tyrica was arrested.
After arresting Tyrica and placing her in the back of a patrol SUV, Officer Lefevers checked her purse and located a bag of less than an ounce of marijuana and a suspected MDMA pill, based on my training and experience, in a single plastic rapping. The MDMA pill was green, and the marijuana was located in a rainbow-colored bag (see Officer Lefevers’ narrative).
I applied for and was given a state warrant for O.C.G.A. 16-13-30(a) VGCSA possession felony and O.C.G.A. 16-11- 41(a) public drunk misdemeanor. No further information is available at this time.
