On 09/01/202l at approximately 2322hrs, D/0 Aspinwall was conducting the intake process on Ashley Napier. At which time Napier had walked in the back door a few minutes earlier mouthing off at the arresting officer (Enfinger GPO #1311). D/0 Aspinwall was patting down Napier and she kept mouthing off at the arresting officer and then at D/O Aspinwall.

While 13/0 Aspinwall was conducting a pat down on Napier, she begin to be uncooperative. She dropped her shorts not being told to do so. She turn around mouthing off at the arresting officer. She was told to have a seat by the arresting officer, she did, but she kept mouthing off.

Napier raised her hands up into the arresting officer’s face. MO Aspinwall asked the arresting officer to step out of the room to deescalate the situation. As soon as the arresting officer walked out of the room, Napier raised her hands up in DIG Aspinwall’s face. At this moment D/O Aspinwall swiped Napier’s hand away. Napier jumped up off the bench and got into D/O Aspinwall’s face stopping her from finishing up the intake process.

When Napier jumped up in D/O Aspinwall’s face she immediately grabbed her around the neck and threw her to the floor. While on the ground Napier kicked at D/O Aspinwall. D/O Aspinwall grabbed Napier’s right foot to control her, but she reached back and struck D/0 Aspinwall with a close fist in the face.

D/O Aspinwall did get Napier on her back, at which point Napier struck D/O Aspinwall twice again in her face. D/O Aspinwall reacted and punched Napier once in her face with a closed left fist. The arresting officer walked back into the room and Napier was secured by both officers. This incident was recorded by the Jail’s surveillance cameras.
