On 8/23/2023 I met with [WITNESS #1] and additional staff at the Coweta County Solicitor’s Generals Office. They were concerned that the offender in on of the stalking cases they were prosecuting was violating his bond conditions and a TPO in trying to contact the victim, his ex-wife by third party. [WITNESS #1] provided me with screen shots of text from the offender, Donald Rainey, to [WITNESS #2].
In these long text rants, he continues to use the phrase “you tell her” And then goes off onto another rant. I was able to verify that Donald had bond conditions that forbade him from having contact with [VICTIM #1], not even though a third party and do not talk to the children about the case. I was also able to verify an active TPO with the same conditions against any contact including third party contact. This TPO has a serve date of 6/26/2023 at 11:30 hours by DS C. Reese. The copy of the text message I got do not have a date on them by the Solicitor’s office advised that they were sent on 8/4/2023. I have tried to contact [WITNESS #2] twice to verify the date of the text and to get him to allow the Sheriff’s Office to get a forensic copy of his phone messages for evidence. I have left voice messages on 8/24/2023 and 8/29/2023. I will visit his house next to make contact with him.
