On 04-21-2022 Deputy Gore was contacted by Lt. Rodney Ison and advised that East Coweta High School had a student at school, in possession of drugs. He asked if Gore could go and assist them with the problem.

On Gore’s arrival he met with [WITNESS #1], the assistant Principal handling the incident. He invited Gore into his office and immediately upon walking into [WITNESS #1]s office Gore was overwhelmed with the odor of marijuana. At that point [WITNESS #1] explained that he received an anonymous tip that the defendant, Jennifer Wesseh was in possession of marijuana at school.

He called Wesseh in and asked if she had marijuana on her. She admitted that she did and handed [WITNESS #1] a cigarillo pack containing a marijuana “blunt” cigar. That is when he contacted Ison for assistance. After explaining the incident he handed Gore the pack and Gore examined it. In the pack was a cigar wrapper filled full of a green leafy substance that had the odor of marijuana. Based on the defendants own statement that it was marijuana and Gore’s knowledge, training, and experience, he beleived the substance to be marijuana.

He then placed Wesseh under arrest and called for a patrol unit to transport her to jail. On arrival Sgt. L. Hudson took custody of Wesseh and transported her to the Coweta County Jail. After that Gore also went to the Jail to complete a warrantless affidavit and enter the marijuana into evidence for testing.
