On October 25, 2021, while at Northgate High School, I met with principal [WITNESS #1] who stated that she received Snapchat videos of [REDACTED BY AGENCY] Samuel Stewart [REDACTED BY AGENCY] drinking alcohol while at Central Education Center (CEC) this morning. She called CEC to locate [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and discovered Stewart had already got on the bus headed back to Northgate. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] CEC administration and Newnan Police Department were made aware of the situation.

Upon his arrival back to Northgate, via school bus, and after she found him around the 400 building, she had him walk into her office. As he walked into her office, I witnessed him stumble and lightly hit his head on the door jam of her office. Shortly thereafter, she shows me two bottles of an alcoholic beverage that she found in his book bag. One being Barefoot Sauvignon Blanc (I.5L) and the other being Ketel One Vodka (1.75L.) He admitted to [WITNESS #1] that he had a good bit to drink.

I met with Stewart and asked him if he would voluntarily submit to a breath sample using an Alco sensor issued by the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office and he agreed. The result from the Alco sensor revealed a positive (.126) result for alcohol.

I had Stewart stand up to perform a search (incident to arrest.) While he was standing up to empty out his pockets, he almost fell over several times. Stewart had slurred speech, glassy eyes, and very unsteady on his feet. Without asking him any questions, he told me that he only drank some of the wine (Barefoot Sauvignon Blanc) and not the vodka.

Stewart was taken into custody and transported to the Coweta County Jail. Recorded BWC.
