On 05/10/2022 I, Officer A. McGhee, was in the East Gate Cemetery when I witnessed the offender, engaged in an active verbal dispute with a subject in a Gray Honda Accord on Milton Ave.

I then witnessed a second vehicle drive around the Honda, and stop in front of the offender. When the second vehicle stopped, I witnessed the offender pull a Silver and Black Glock 48 from his pocket, and fire one shot into the air, at which time the second vehicle left.

I then made contact with the offender, and instructed him to put his hands in the air and walk toward me facing away from me. I then placed him in handcuffs to the rear, double locked and checked to fit.

Once the offender was detained, I removed the pistol from his pocket, and searched him for any other weapons. The offender was then placed in the rear of my patrol vehicle. Once he was secured, I located the spent shell casing not far from where his location.

The offender was then transported to the Coweta County Jail where he was turned over to the jail staff.

My BWC was activated.
