On 01/13/2021 at 1404hrs I was dispatched to [10 BLOCK] Glen Cannon Drive in reference to a dispute.

Upon arrival I spoke with Vaugh Robertson the father to [REDACTED BY AGENCY].

Vaughn stated that the argument began when his youngest [REDACTED BY AGENCY] texted [REDACTED BY AGENCY] to ask their parents to pick [REDACTED BY AGENCY] up from school, due to [REDACTED BY AGENCY] not feeling well. Vaughn was upset that [REDACTED BY AGENCY] did not text him or his wife ([WITNESS #1]) directly.

Vaughn and [REDACTED BY AGENCY] began to have a verbal argument. The argument began with [REDACTED BY AGENCY] inside the bathroom and Vaughn at the door. Vaughn stated that the argument started to become physical when [REDACTED BY AGENCY] threatened to throw out his medication. Vaughn stated that this comment made him become “beside himself”.

Vaughn then grabbed [REDACTED BY AGENCY] by the throat and slammed [REDACTED BY AGENCY] in the wall. Vaughn then put [REDACTED BY AGENCY] in a headlock breaking the toilet and knocking the large cabinet off of the wall. The toilet began to squirt water breaking up the fight. Vaughn did have a red mark on his face from the fight.

Vaughn also gave similar testimony to 911 dispatchers while Deputies were in route to the scene.

Speaking with [REDACTED BY AGENCY] I got a similar testimony. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that the argument started over the [REDACTED BY AGENCY] text [REDACTED BY AGENCY] instead of their parents. During the verbal argument, [REDACTED BY AGENCY] held up [REDACTED BY AGENCY] medication to [REDACTED BY AGENCY] father to show [REDACTED BY AGENCY] father that [REDACTED BY AGENCY] does have mental issues.

It was at this time Vaughn grabbed [REDACTED BY AGENCY] by the neck and shortly after put [REDACTED BY AGENCY] in a choke hold. During the incident the toilet was broken and the shelf fell off of the wall. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] did stiffer a one inch laceration on [REDACTED BY AGENCY] right wrist, an approximately 3 inch scratch on [REDACTED BY AGENCY] left forearm, three scratches to [REDACTED BY AGENCY] neck, and a swollen right cheek.

Photos were taken of these areas. The photos also show dark/yellow bruising on the left and right side of [REDACTED BY AGENCY] neck. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated these marks were hickies. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] did strike Vaughn in order to get out of his hold. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that these types of incidents occur once a year.

[WITNESS #1] did witness half of the incident. She witnessed Vaughn holding [REDACTED BY AGENCY] in a head lock and attempted to break the fight up. [WITNESS #1] stated that the only reason the fight stopped was due to the toilet beginning to squirt water into the air.

The medication that [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was attempting to show [REDACTED BY AGENCY] father were mood stabilizers and other medications for being bipolar.

The jail was contacted in reference to Vaughn being in direct contact with a Covid-19 patient (his daughter) and they were asked if he would be accepted. The Jail stated that they would not accept him at this time.

Due to Vaughn via testimonial statements being the primary aggressor in this incident warrants will be pulled in reference to Battery (FVA) against Vaughn due to the apparent injuries to [REDACTED BY AGENCY] body.

[REDACTED BY AGENCY] was transported to his girlfriend’s house ([1300 BLOCK] Hwy 29) per his mother’s and [REDACTED BY AGENCY] request. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] will wait at this address until [REDACTED] (family member) picks him up. This action allows both parties to separate for the remainder of the night.

BWC activated.
