I, Ptl. M Hunt, responded in normal patrol mode to the 2400 Blk of Stuart Ave in reference to an auto accident, hit and run.
Upon my arrival, I made contact with [VICTIM #1] who stated his vehicle (2021 Grey Ford Explorer Ga tag [REDACTED]) was struck by a white in color sedan. [VICTIM #1] stated that he was traveling eastbound in the right lane of Stuart Ave when a white sedan struck his driver side door and front bumper. [VICTIM #1] then was able to provide a copy of his in car dash camera.
On the footage, I was able to observe [VICTIM #1]’s vehicle in the right lane while he was traveling eastbound on Stuart Ave. I then observe a white in color sedan merge into [VICTIM #1]’s lane and colliding with his vehicle. I was able to observe that the operator of the vehicle was a black female. I was able to observe that the tag of the sedan was a FL Tag [REDACTED].
I performed a GCIC/NCIC check on the tag and it came back to a White in color 2019 Mitsubishi. The owner of the vehicle is a black female Deja Baker. I performed a RMS check on Baker and was met with her having a residence at [1400 BLOCK] Whispering Pines Rd Apt. [REDACTED].
I attempted to make contact with Baker at the residence and was met with negative results. I also attempted to make contact with Baker via phone that was on file and had negative results as well. A follow up will be conducted to attempt to make contact with Baker.
This case is active.
