AOI #1 is approximately, 242 feet west of the west curb line of N Harding St and even with the north curb line of W 1st Ave.
AOI #2 is approximately, 232 feet west of the west curb line of N Harding St and approximately, 2 feet north of the north curb line of W 1st Ave.
AOI #3 is approximately, 80 feet west of the west curb line of N Harding St and approximately, 5 feet south of the south curb line of W 1st Ave.
Vehicle 1 (eastbound on W 1st Ave) struck two mailboxes, a city light pole, and a tree in the 900-Blk of W 1st Ave and left the scene.
Contact was made with Driver 1 who stated that while he was enroute to deliver a load in Kentucky, he missed his exit and the GPS routed him down the street of W 1st Ave. Driver 1 stated that while he was driving down W 1st Ave, he heard a loud noise and stopped to see what happened.
Driver 1 stated that once he stopped to see what the noise was, he observed a large tree limb wedged into between his truck and trailer. Driver 1 then stated that he and two other unknown individuals removed the tree and left the scene. Driver 1 stated that he did not know that he’d damaged any other property so he didn’t notify the police.
Driver 1 was arrest and booked at the jail for hit and run (citation number; G0019289).
