On Tuesday July 26, 2022 I, Ofr. Mills, was patrolling the area of Shorter Ave. near Burnett Ferry Rd. At approximately 0935 hours, I observed a white Ford Explorer driven by a subject known as Shawn Blake Salmon. I had previous knowledge that Mr. Salmon had a suspended license.
I initiated a traffic stop on Mr. Salmon in the parking lot of Auto Zone. I approached Mr. Salmon and asked if he had his license yet and he said no. I then had Mr. Salmon step out of his vehicle where he was placed under arrest. Mr. Salmon had a passenger with him who was identified as Heather Ramos. Ms. Ramos was with Mr. Salmon on a previous traffic stop and was advised to not let Mr. Salmon drive until he had his license.
Ms. Ramos was cited and released on scene. She was charged with allowing an unlicensed person to drive. Mr. Salmon was transported to the Floyd County Jail and booked without incident. He was charged with driving on a suspended license. The transport area of unit 147 was searched and cleared before and after transport. No injuries were reported on scene.
