On the above date, at around 0845 hours, I responded to Walmart located at 150 Altama Connector, Brunswick GA in reference to reports of a woman trespassing after being told she was not allowed on the property of 150 Altama Connector Brunswick Ga (Walmart).

Upon hearing the description of the woman given over GCPD channel 1, I was sure I already knew who the offender was due to a call I handled on 06/22/2022. Instead of responding to Walmart, I responded to the PUBLIX shopping center, which is where I made contact with the offender 10 days prior. I immediately saw Barbra Jackson carrying a white plastic WALMART shopping bag and told her to stop walking. In Barbra’s other hand was a receipt from WALMART for the items she had just purchased and was currently carrying.

When I stepped out of my patrol car, Barbra immediately told me that she knew she was not supposed to be at WALMART. She stated she just went in to buy a couple food items and came right back out. I asked Barbara “Didn’t we just have this conversation last week and I told you you were not allowed in there?”. Barbara acknowledged that we did, but she did not know where else to go and that they are just picking on her.

Barbara was initially trespassed from WALMART on 06/10/2022. I told her again on 06/22/2022 after receiving another call about her being in the store after being told she was not allowed on the property, as that instance the manager requested she only be warned again not to come back. This time, the employee requested to prosecute, as this was obviously not going to stop. Barbra further stated that she was not going to stop going to WALMART and she does not cause issues there. She stated she needs to shop.

Upon hearing Barbra tell me in no uncertain terms that she had no intention of stopping, Barbra was told she was under arrest for Criminal Trespass. Barbara was placed in double locked handcuffs behind her back after a brief passive struggle and placed in my patrol vehicle. Barbara’s purse was taken with Barbara to GCDC, but several other bags were turned over to a relative at [100 BLOCK] Sandlewood Drive.

Barbara was transported to GCDC and released to jail staff after the necessary booking paperwork was completed. A warrant affidavit has been submitted for Barbra Jackson for violation of OCGA 16-7-21, Criminal Trespass and is awaiting a judges signature.
