On, Saturday, July 2, 2022, I, Cpl. S. Spaulding, responded to the area of 2697 Glynn Ave, room [REDACTED]. Upon my arrival I observed a white male in the grassy area in front of the hotel. I got out with the male, who match the description of the offender according to dispatch.

I got out with the male, who was identified as Mr. Joseph Mahoney. Mr. Joseph advised that he was locked out of the hotel room on the night prior and on this date he was allowed back in. Mr. Joseph advised he went into the room and was eating because he had not eaten all night.

Mr. Joseph advised his mother and brother began calling him a “fag*ott,” and a “fat a*s.” Mr. Joseph adivsed that his brother and mother, began hitting him and his brother hit him with a frying pan. I did not observe any marks on him to indicate that he had been hit.

At that time, Ms. [WITNESS #1], walked over to me crying and asking me to come look at her younger son, Mr. [VICTIM #1]. Mr. [VICTIM #1] walked to the door, and I observed what appeared to be a handprint around his neck. there were destinct lines which were a dark red/purple runnuing horizontially across the left side of his neck, there was some fresh bruising on the front of this throat and red scratchs on the back of his neck.

Mr. [VICTIM #1] advised his brother was yelling at him and his mother, and began throwing things and hitting them both. Mr. [VICTIM #1] advised he was attempting to keep his brother away from them, but his brother grabbed him by his throat squeezing, and held him down on the bed.

Mr. [VICTIM #1] advised he never lost conciousness but described that he could not breath and stated it felt as if he were trying to “crush his esophagus.” I asked Mr. [VICTIM #1] what occurred with the frying pan and he advised he did pick it up, and hold it as if he were about to hit Mr. Joseph while he was trying to keep his him away.

Ms. [WITNESS #1] advised that Mr. Joseph was just going crazy and throwing things. When he began hittin Mr. [VICTIM #1] and grabbed him by the neck. Ms. [WITNESS #1] advised she believed he was on drugs.

I walked back over to Mr. Joseph and asked him what happened to his brothers neck, Mr. Joseph adivsed while Mr. [VICTIM #1] was attacking he pushed him back by the neck. Mr. Joseph also advised Mr. [VICTIM #1] hit him on his back with the frying pan. I asked him to pull his shirt up, and he did, there was not markings to indicate that Mr. Joseph had been hit with a pan. Mr. Joseph the stated his brother also threatened him with a knife.

I placed Mr. Joseph in handcuffs and he was transported to CDC. At CDC he was released to booking staff for further booking and processing. I attempted to upload my body camera to this case however at this time it is not downloading.
