Officer’s Narrative:

On the above date and time I responded to 101 Gloucester in reference to a Problem Person.

Upon my arrival I made contact with other officers on scene in which they advised me that a male by the name of Mack Roberts and a female by the name of Shalanda Lecounte got into a physical argument while at 101 Gloucester. I was also advised that Mr. Mack Roberts got into a physical fight with a Mr. [VICTIM #1]. Mr. Roberts sustained an injury on his left side nose consisting of a small laceration and Mr. [VICTIM #1] sustained an injury consisting of a bloody nose, both subjects declined medical attention.

While officers were talking to Mr. Roberts and Ms. Lecounte I made contact with [VICTIM #1] in which he advised me that he saw Mr. Roberts and Ms. Lecounte arguing over a suitcase. He further advised that the two were pulling the suitcase back and forth. He then stated that shortly after he saw Mr. Roberts strike Ms. Lecounte once. Mr. [VICTIM #1] advised that when he saw Mr. Roberts strike Ms. Lecounte he ran and tackled Mr. Roberts to separate the two. Mr. [VICTIM #1] advised that once he separated the two, Mr. Roberts’s and himself got into a physical fight. Mr. [VICTIM #1] advised that he did not witness Ms. Lecounte hit Mr. Roberts.

I them spoke with two witnesses, Ms. [WITNESS #1] and Mr. [WITNESS #2], in which they advised that they saw Mr. Roberts and Ms. Lecounte fighting. they further stated that Mr. [VICTIM #1] “did the right thing” and “needs a medal” for separating Mr. Roberts and Ms. Lecounte. They both further stated that they saw Ms. Lecounte strike Mr. Roberts first.

At this time I attempted to make contact with Ms. Lecounte in which she advised that she did not want to talk to me. At this Ms. Lecounte was placed in handcuffs in which they were check for fit and double locked. She was then placed at the rear of my patrol unit. Cpl. Woods then attempted to get Ms. Lecounte’s name and date of birth in which she refused to give.

Shortly after Mr. Roberts was placed in handcuffs, in which they were check for fit, double lock, and search incident to arrest. He was then placed at the rear of a patrol unit. Mr. Roberts was transported to the ER to receive a jail clearance.

Ms. Lecounte was also given a CTW for 101 Gloucester St. on 5/31/23 and Mr. Robert was given a CTW for 101 Gloucester St. on 7/14/23.

Ms. Lecounte was charged with following;

  • Battery (16-5-23.1)
  • for striking Mr. Roberts and causing laceration on his left side nose.
  • Obstruction (16-10-24)
  • for refusing give Cpl Woods her name and date and birth while she was legaly detained.
  • Criminal Trespass (16-7-21)
  • Was given a CTW for 101 Gloucester on 5/31/23

Mr. Roberts was charged with the following;

  • Battery (16-5-23.1)
  • From striking Mr. [VICTIM #1] and causing him to have a bloody nose.
  • Criminal Trespass (16-7-21)
  • Was given a CTW for 101 Gloucester on 7/14/23.

Both were released to the jailers for further processing.
