On 05/20/22, at approximately 1154 Hours, I responded to 777 Gloucester Street Suite [REDACTED], in reference to a domestic. On arrival I spoke with [WITNESS #1]. Mr. [WITNESS #1] advised that his employee, [VICTIM #1]’s, husband came to their office and threw Ms. [VICTIM #1]’s phone against the wall damaging the drywall in the hallway of his office.

Mr. [WITNESS #1] showed me video of the lobby and I observed the husband, Perry Smith, entering the office and then leave the office multiple times. It appeared that Mr. Smith and Ms. [VICTIM #1] were arguing. It should be noted that the camera does show them arguing and her asking him to stop but it does not show him with possession of the phone or throwing the phone. I did hear the loud smack as the phone struck the wall.

At this time I spoke to Ms. [VICTIM #1] and she advised that she and her husband are going through a divorce. Ms. [VICTIM #1] advised that he came up to her office and they got into a verbal argument and then he took her phone. Ms. [VICTIM #1] advised at one point he threw her phone and it struck her. I observed what appeared to be a small amount of swelling on the right side of her forehead.

I was also advised he again grabbed the phone and threw it at the wall. Ms. [VICTIM #1] showed me the phone and it appeared almost broken in half. I gave Ms. [VICTIM #1] a case number for the incident. I attempted to contact Mr. Smith via the phone number Ms. [VICTIM #1] provided with negative results.

I followed up with Ms. [VICTIM #1] via phone on 05/21/2022. Over the phone Ms. [VICTIM #1] advised me that her husband was at the office on 05/20/21 to provide financial documents in reference to their divorce. Ms. [VICTIM #1] did advise he had never acted like this before.

When asked how the phone got to be almost broken in half she advised she did not see him do anything except throw the phone twice. Ms. [VICTIM #1] advised he then entered the office again and apologized to her and she asked him to leave and he left. Ms. [VICTIM #1] valued her Iphone 11 around $600 and advised that he bought it for her last year as a gift.

I observed on Apples website the phone is valued between $500 and $600. At this time I am seeking warrants on Mr. Smith for Criminal Damage to Property 2nd Degree FVA, Battery FVA, and Criminal Trespass. Nothing Follows.

On 05/23/2022, at approximately 14:30 hours, I responded to the lobby of the Glynn County Sheriffs Office (100 Sulfur Springs Rd) in reference to a wanted person wanting to turn himself in.

Upon arrival, I made contact with Perry Bryant Smith (Arrested). I obtained three criminal arrest warrants from the TAC officer at the Brunswick Police Department. I served a Criminal Trespass warrant, a Battery-FVA warrant, and a Criminal Damage to Property-2nd Degree FVA warrant on Mr. Smith.

These warrants did not have warrant numbers listed on them due to being weekend warrants. I completeed the ABIS and Sovi forms as required (uploaded to this report) and Mr. Smith was booked into CDC. Nothing further.
