On 08/23/2023 at 1959 hours Ofc Roberson and I, Ofc Carter, were dispatched to 566 N Davis Dr for a fight. Upon arrival, made contact with a Mr. [VICTIM #1] who advised some kids tried to take his phone and wallet as he was walking to the Family Dollar.
Mr [VICTIM #1] advised there were four black juveniles loitering outside. Two of the juveniles were on bicycles. He advised their ages range from 12 to 15 years of age. He advised one of the juveniles asked him, “How much money do you have?” He advised that the juvenile then tried to grab his phone and wallet out of his hand. The juvenile was unable to grab the items out of his hand. He advised the juveniles that he was going to call the police and the juveniles departed the scene by foot and on bicycle heading north. He advised that the juveniles hang out at the gas station located at 545 and 564 N Davis Dr.
Ofc. Zeta checked the area for the possible offenders and began checking video until we could take over. There is video of the juveniles just loitering outside Davis Grocery Store located at 564 N. Davis Dr., but no video of the alleged attempted crime. The video gave a clear description of the juveniles. We were unable to obtain a copy of video at this time. Mr [REDACTED] advised the video will be available for 30 days before it will be lost. Incident time is 1955 hours, video is an hour behind so the time on video is 1855 hours.
Per the video, juvenile descriptions are as follows: First black juvenile is on a blue mountain bike, with medium hair, wearing a black graphic t-shirt, black pants with a blue stripe along the side and bubble slides. Second black juvenile is on a light blue BMX bicycle. with medium hair, wearing a black and white t-shirt, teal shorts, yellow socks and black Nike slides. Third black juvenile with medium hair, wearing a face mask on his head, red graphic t-shirt, grey pants with white stripes along the side, orange socks and black slides. Forth black juvenile with medium hair, wearing a white graphic t-shirt, black shorts and black and white shoes. Sgt. Jones was notified of this incident.
