On 04/21/2022 at 0412 hours, I, Ofc. Strom, was dispatched to [200 BLOCK] Northlake Dr #[REDACTED] in reference to a physical domestic. Upon arrival I made contact with Ms. [VICTIM #1] in the parking lot.

Ms. [VICTIM #1] had an obvious injury to her left eye, to the point where it was so completely swollen that I could not see her eye. Ms. [VICTIM #1] stated her son, Jamal Leonard, woke her up and asked to see a baby. Ms. [VICTIM #1] stated she had no idea what he was talking about, and that upset him. Ms. [VICTIM #1] stated Jamal then physically hit her in the face, causing the swollen shut eye.

I made contact with Jamal inside the residence Jamal stated he woke his mother up to ask about seeing the baby across the street. I asked what happened to her eye, and he replied “I got mad.” I then asked Jamal if he punched his mother in the face, and he stated that he did.

I placed Jamal into custody at this time and transported him to the Warner Robins LEC to be processed on his charge. Ofc. Milam took pictures of Ms. [VICTIM #1]’s injuries. Ms. [VICTIM #1] was checked out by EMS, and decided to get a ride to the hospital with one of her friends.

I will be seeking warrants against Jamal for Aggravated Battery Family Violence next date.
