On 02/26/2023 at approximately 0424hrs., I, Ofc. S. Bish, responded to [REDACTED BY AGENCY] in reference to a burglary. Upon arrival, I made contact with Ms. [VICTIM #1].
Ms. [VICTIM #1] advised that Mr. Quincy Jones broke into her house. Ms. [VICTIM #1] advised when she woke up, Mr. Jones was standing next to her bed directly by her head, looking at her. Ms. [VICTIM #1] advised she immediately jumped out of bed, turned the light on, and began recording. Ms. [VICTIM #1] showed me the video. In the video it shows Mr. Jones grab the items he brought with him and hurry out of the residence. The video also shows Mr. Jones in a pair of shoes that were obviously too small for him. Ms. [VICTIM #1] advised that the shoes were a pair of black crocs with fur on the inside that belonged to her. Ms. [VICTIM #1] advised he left with the shoes.
After walking around the residence, I discovered the window second from the southern most corner of the residence on the front of the house to be Mr. Jones entry point. The outside screen was folded up and there were shiny marks on the metal part of the window that indicated the window was pried up. The window was also not sitting in the window sill level. All other windows and doors to the residence were closed and locked.
Since 02/02/2023, Officers have been called out to [REDACTED BY AGENCY] seven times in reference to Mr. Jones being on scene without being wanted there. These dates being 02/02 at 1020hrs, 02/13 at 1624hrs., 02/16 at 1245hrs., 02/18 at 1356hrs., 02/21 at 0949hrs., 02/22 at 1104hrs, 02/24 at 1010hrs., and this date. In all cases., Ms. [VICTIM #1] advises that Mr. Jones refused to leave but left after Ms. [VICTIM #1] calls 911. Mr. Jones had not been given a criminal trespass warning to the residence prior to this date but had been told by officers that it was not a good idea for him to be there.
Ms. [VICTIM #1] did email me a copy of the video and I will be attaching it to this report. I will be seeking warrants on Mr. Jones for stalking and burglary at the next available date.
