On Friday, April 29, 2022 at approximately 12:04 hours. I, Corporal Cory Bard was dispatched to [100 BLOCK] Nantucket Island in reference to burglary.

Upon arrival I made contact with the victim [VICTIM #1]. Mr. [VICTIM #1] advised me that Taresa Gore changed the locks on the house again. Mr. [VICTIM #1] did a report on an earlier date that Ms. Gore took approximately $20,000 dollars’ worth of jewelry, documents and a vehicle belonging to his deceased mother. At the time it was unknown what documents Ms. Gore possessed, so it remained a civil issue.

I called Ms. Gore via cell phone, and asked her about the residence. She advised me that she had documents claiming that she is the executor of the estate. I asked Ms. Gore to come to the house. When she arrived on scene, she showed me documents saying she was over the estate.

I explained to her that the house is Mr. [VICTIM #1] and she didn’t have permission to enter the residence. I asked her if she changed the locks and she told me yes.

Ms. Gore was placed under arrest for burglary because she didn’t have the right to enter Mr. [VICTIM #1] house. She was handcuffed, I checked them for fit then double locked them. I placed her in the back seat of my patrol vehicle.

Mr. [VICTIM #1] wanted me to ask her where the property was that she took. When I asked her, she said what property?

While I was transporting Gore to the Houston County Jail, a male claiming to be her brother called me and said that Ms. Gore had the right to be in the residence. I advised him that if he needed to speak with me then he could come to the police department.

Ms. Gore was transported without incident.

There is nothing further at this time, end of the report.

At proximality 17:00 hours, Mr. [VICTIM #1] contacted dispatch and asked for me to call him.

I made contact with Mr. [VICTIM #1], he said that he looked in Ms. Gore’s vehicle and saw items that belonged to his mother in there. The items were plates.

A picture of the plates will be attached to the report.

The vehicle was towed away from the scene before Mr. [VICTIM #1] told me this.
