On Saturday, June 25, 2022 at 18:38 hours, while traveling westbound on Georgia Highway 38 near Isle of Wight Road, I observed a Red 2004 Mazda RX8 with a Georgia Tag of [REDACTED], traveling in the number 1 westbound lane on Georgia Highway 38 in front of my vehicle. I ran the vehicle’s tag on my Mobile Data Terminal in my patrol vehicle. It showed the vehicle had no valid insurance and the registered owner, Mr Aaron Woodard, to have a suspended Georgia driver’s license in reference to multiple suspensions.

I activated my emergency equipment on my patrol vehicle and conducted a traffic stop with the vehicle in the parking lot of the Subway at the corner of Isle of Wight Road and Georgia Highway 38. When the vehicle came to a stop the driver, Mr Aaron Woodard, exited the vehicle. I made contact with him at the front of my vehicle. I instructed him to walk to the front of my vehicle and explained the reason for the stop. At my vehicle I asked him for his driver’s license and insurance information. He gave me a Georgia Id card and showed me an insurance app on his phone, which showed his policy was canceled.

I placed Mr Woodard in double locked handcuffs, behind his back and checked for fit. His person was searched with no findings. Deputy Cummings 925 arrived on scene to transport. He was escorted to the back seat of her vehicle, which was searched prior. He was transported to the Liberty County Jail where he was released to the jail booking staff without incident.

Mr Woodard’s vehicle was released to Clark’s Towing.
