On Monday, May 16, 2022 at 1659 hrs, units were dispatched to [3500 BLOCK] Ga Hwy 196 W Hinesville, Ga in reference to a domestic Central advised there was a white male on scene threatening his own wife and the complainant’s husband. Complainant advised there was alcohol involved.
At 1705 hrs, ADS Styles 958 and I arrived on scene A male, later identified as [VICTIM #1], was pointing towards another male, later identified as Theodore Colna. Once Mr Colna saw our arrival, he walked into the driveway, faced away from us, and put his hands behind his back.
I made contact with Mr [VICTIM #1] who stated he allowed Mr Colna to stay in a rundown, condemned house on his property because he had no where else to go. Mr [VICTIM #1] included that Mr Colna had been working for him. Today, he told him that he needed to find other living arrangements because he had stopped working. He assumed that is what Mr Colna and his wife were arguing about when the threats were made. He stated Mr Colna threatened to kill him and his wife after he threw several beer bottles at his wife’s vehicle. Mr [VICTIM #1] advised she left after the beer bottles were thrown.
ADS Styles and I made contact with Theodore Colna. He stated he and his wife, [VICTIM #2], were arguing today because he thinks she is sleeping with Mr [VICTIM #1]. When asked where she was at currently, Mr Colna said she was probably at her other boyfriend’s house. I also asked Mr Colna why his wife left and he said it was because he threw a beer bottle at the car. Telephonic contact made with Ms [VICTIM #2] and she stated she would meet us at Dollar General (3463 Ga Hwy 196 W) near the incident location. She stated there was damage to her vehicle from the beer bottle.
I checked Mr Colna’s wanted status through central and I was advised he was wanted through Liberty County for Obstruction (OCGA 16-10-24). The warrant was confirmed and a hold was requested.
Mr Colna was placed under arrest and handcuffed to the rear, checked for fit and double-locked. He was searched incident to arrest with no contraband found. He was seated in the rear of ADS Styles’ patrol vehicle.
I spoke with Mr [VICTIM #1] once more and advised him on eviction procedures. He was given a case number and instructions on how to obtain a copy of this report. ADS Styles advised Ms [VICTIM #2] was no longer on scene at the Dollar General and he continued to transport Mr Colna to the Liberty County Jail. He was turned over to booking staff without incident. ADS Styles’ back seat was checked before and after this transport with no contraband found.
Several attempts were made to contact Ms [VICTIM #2] by telephone with no success.
