On [12/5/2022] at approximately 1224 hours I, Ofc. C. Abreu and Ofc. I. Sanchez were dispatched to [2400 BLOCK] Wise Street in reference to a domestic dispute.

Subject was observed by local residents engaged in a physical altercation with the victim. The subject was observed throwing items such as a kitchen knife, a glass bottle, and a hammer which eventually struck the victim in the knee. Both parties moved locations to the area of Simmons Avenue and Bruce Street where local residents observed the subject throw a car jack at the victim.

Upon arrival, the subject and victim both left in a white Dodge Charger which was located on Drake Street near the intersection of S. Lumpkin Road. The subject operating the vehicle had their 1 year old child on their lap and was visibly in distress. The child was removed from the custody of the subject, and eventually evaluated by EMS (Medic 16). The victim was located in the backseat and was asked to step out of the vehicle to be interviewed. The subject stepped out of the driver seat, and was placed under arrest. The [REDACTED BY AGENCY]

Based on the statements obtained by witnesses, and evidence of injuries observed, the subject was charged with Battery FV (2x), Reckless Conduct, Cruelty to Children 3rd, Child Safety Restraint, and No State Drivers License.

A court date has been scheduled for December 6th, 2022, at 0900 hours. CASE CLEARED BY ARREST.
