On Monday June 22, 2020 at 21:26 hours I, Officer Nesbitt, along with several other officers were dispatched to 604 M.L. King Jr blvd (Magana Liquor), in reference to an armed robbery in progress. I arrived on scene first and made contact with the employee of magana liquor, [VICTIM #1].

[VICTIM #1] stated that a hispanic male, wearing a white or light gray shirt, approximately 6 foot tall and approximately 300 pounds, entered the store and approached the counter. I gave the description of the male to dispatch and other officers that were en route to the area.

[VICTIM #1] stated that the male stated his name was Steven. She also stated that it appeared the male had severe mental issues. I quickly realized that the male may have been Steven Pizarro, due to past encounters with him.

I notified the officers in the area and they found Steven Pizarro near the scene. [VICTIM #1] stated that the male told her “I have a gun in my pocket.” and then walked out of the store. He returned a short time later, the male re-entered the store. He then stated to [VICTIM #1] “my friend Luiz told me to come rob this store.” and then stated “you should probably call the cops, I’ m armed.”

[VICTIM #1] stated while the male was talking he kept reaching towards his right pocket on his shorts. [VICTIM #1] stated she was scared for her life that he was going to pull out the gun that he said he had on him. [VICTIM #1] stated the male began walking out of the store again, and she took a picture of him on her cell phone. I was able to view the picture and take a picture of her phone showing the picture. I will attach it to this report.

[VICTIM #1] then pulled up video footage from the incident. I observed Steven enter the store, approach the counter, leave, and come back just as [VICTIM #1] stated he did.

I was not able to obtain the video footage at this moment. I will go back to maganms liquor at a later date and retrieve the video footage. I was able to take a picture of Steven at the cash register. I will attach that photo to this report.

I then transported Steven to the Whitfield county jail, where I charged him with aggravated assault and armed robbery. These charges are on warrantless arrest #62324.
Nothing further to report at this time.
