On November 8, 2021 at approximately 10:38 hours, Deputy Barnett was dispatched to 885 Shugart Rd. (Murphy’s Gas) in reference to a domestic dispute that already occurred at [1500 BLOCK] Lafayette Rd. in Rocky Face. Upon arrival, Deputy Barnett spoke with [VICTIM #1] of [1500 BLOCK] Lafayette Rd. Ms. [VICTIM #1] provided the following information.

Ms. [VICTIM #1] stated that she and her “on again/off again” boyfriend, Brandon Sanchez of [1500 BLOCK] Margaret Cir. in Dalton, both work for Mohawk Industries on Phelps Rd. She stated that when they got off work and arrived back at her house they started arguing because Mr. Sanchez did not like a picture Ms. [VICTIM #1] posted on her social media. She stated that Mr. Sanchez pushed her then took her phone and left in his own vehicle, she described the vehicle as a navy blue Nissan Sentra. Ms. [VICTIM #1] then stated she followed Mr. Sanchez to the Walmart on Shugart Rd. where he held the phone up to the driver side window to show Ms. [VICTIM #1] that he was posting “naked/obscene” pictures of her on her own social media. Mr. Sanchez then left the area and this is when Ms. [VICTIM #1] called 911 for Police assistance. Ms. [VICTIM #1] described the phone as a black Iphone 11 without a case on it. She valued the phone at $1000.00.

Deputy Barnett advised Ms. [VICTIM #1] that a report would be written and provided the report number of 2021-06589 and also advised that the case would remain active and sent to the Criminal Investigations Division for further review. Deputy Barnett also provided Ms. [VICTIM #1] with a Crime Victims Bill of Rights paper and explained the different resources.
