On January 8, 2023 at approximately 0023 hours, Deputies M. Mora and T. Deaver were dispatched to [700 BLOCK] Richardson Road in reference to a domestic dispute. Dispatch advised before arrival that both the victim and offender had called in. Dispatch advised that Byron advised that [VICTIM #1] was not supposed on scene and that her friend attacked him. Dispatch further advised that Ms. [VICTIM #1] stated that Byron has bond conditions to stay away from her and “spazzed out” and attacked her. Dispatch advised that there are no TPO, bond conditions and no one had been trespassed.

Upon arrival Deputies Mora and Deaver met with a male outside that was Bryon Calhoun. Deputy Deaver observed a cut on the top of his head on his left side that looked dry. Deputy Deaver then asked Mr. Calhoun several times if he needed medical in which he declined several times. While speaking with Mr. Calhoun he advised that he is on bond conditions to stay away from Ms. [VICTIM #1]. Deputy Deaver then had Deputy Mora stay with Mr. Calhoun outside the residence while he spoke with Ms. [VICTIM #1] inside the residence.

Upon speaking with Ms. [VICTIM #1] inside the residence she advised the following information. Ms. [VICTIM #1] advised that in November she had a fight with Mr. Calhoun and he pulled a firearm on her and he went to jail. Ms. [VICTIM #1] advised that Mr. Calhoun had bond conditions to stay away from her and the residence if she’s there. Ms. [VICTIM #1] then advised that shortly after Mr. Calhoun had her evicted off the residence. Ms. [VICTIM #1] then advised that around Christmas Eve she got into an altercation with her boyfriend that lives further down Richardson Road.

Ms. [VICTIM #1] then advised that she left that residence and had nowhere to stay so she came to Mr. Calhoun’s residence. Ms. [VICTIM #1] advised that Mr. Calhoun invited her into the house to “chill” out for a little bit. Ms. [VICTIM #1] then advised that this date when she woke up Mr. Calhoun was upset with her accusing her of stealing his truck keys and phone.

Ms. [VICTIM #1] advised that she does not have Mr. Calhoun’s truck keys or phone and was unaware why he was upset. Ms. [VICTIM #1] further advised that just before call time Ms. [VICTIM #1] walked out the back door of the residence to retrieve her dog that was chained up. Ms. [VICTIM #1] then advised that Mr. Calhoun had followed her and had pushed her to the side. Ms. [VICTIM #1] then advised that she then pushed Mr. Calhoun back and ran off back in the residence with her dog.

Deputy Deaver then spoke with Mr. Calhoun outside the residence who advised the following. Mr. Calhoun advised that he was pushed by Ms. [VICTIM #1]’s friend, later identified as [REDACTED]. Mr. Calhoun further detailed that he observed Ms. [VICTIM #1] cutting the wires to his camera with a knife on the back porch. Mr. Calhoun advised that when he confronted Ms. [VICTIM #1], Mr. [REDACTED] advised him that he was not going to put his hands-on Ms. [VICTIM #1].

Mr. Calhoun then advised that Mr. [REDACTED] then pushed him backwards causing him to fall and bust his head on the porch. Mr. Calhoun then advised that Mr. [REDACTED] then fled the scene due to being on parole. Mr. Calhoun further advised that a week prior he had Ms. [VICTIM #1] evicted off the property. Mr. Calhoun then advised that Ms. [VICTIM #1] was sleeping on the back of the porch in “15 degree” weather so he invited her back in the household after the eviction.

Upon further investigation by contacting Central Control Deputy Deaver learned that the was a bond condition in place stating that Mr. Calhoun shall stay away from Ms. [VICTIM #1] (referrer to case #202207116 for further). At this time Deputy Deaver placed Mr. Calhoun under arrest, handcuffs double locked and checked for fit. Mr. Calhoun was then placed in the back seat of Deputy Deaver’s patrol vehicle and transported to the Whitfield County Detention Center.

Upon arrival at the Whitfield County Detention Center Deputy Deaver charged Mr. Calhoun with Violation of a Family Violence court order (16-5-95(b)(4)) on Warrantless Arrest #66938. While at the detention center Deputy Deaver referred Mr. Calhoun to the court system in reference to him being pushed and the apparent cutting of the cameras.
