On September 14, 2022 at approximately 1359 hours, Deputy Mckeehan was sitting stationary at the intersection of Mount Vernon Rd and Houston Valley Rd observing traffic.

Deputy Mckeehan observed a grey in color Mitsubishi passenger car and ran the Tennessee license plate ([REDACTED]) through GCIC (Georgia Crime Information Center) which returned with no insurance. Deputy Mckeehan then initiated a traffic stop. Deputy Mckeehan made contact with the driver later to be identified as Jeanine Smith. Deputy Mckeehan informed Ms. Smith for the reason of the stop. Ms. Smith advised Deputy Mckeehan she did not have her license on her person. Deputy Mckeehan ran Ms. Smith’s information through GCIC which returned as driver not found. Deputy Mckeehan asked Ms. Smith if she really had a license and she stated “No I do not. I don’t want to go to jail”.

Deputy Mckeehan then placed Ms. Smith under arrest checking for fit and double locking the handcuffs. Deputy Mckeehan done a vehicle inventory. Deputy Mckeehan found a glass pipe with brown residue, and syringe without a needle. Deputy Mckeehan attempted to field tested the residue but could not get enough to test. Ms. Smith stated the pipe was used for marijuana but did not know where the syringe come from. Deputy Mckeehan will place the glass pipe and syringe in evidence to be destroyed.

Ms. Smith’s vehicle was turned over to Frank’s Wrecker service. Deputy Mckeehan transported Ms. Smith to the Whitfield County Detention Center. Deputy Mckeehan issued citation number 305072 for O.C.G.A Driving without a valid license and citation number 305073 for O.C.G.A driving a motor vehicle without insurance. Deputy Mckeehan turned Ms. Smith over to the Whitfield County booking staff without incident. Deputy McKeehan searched the back seat of his patrol vehicle before leaving the sally port.
