On May 20th, 2022 at approximately 1645 Hours Deputy Densmore responded to Walmart Supercenter located at 2545 E. Walnut Ave Dalton GA in reference to a shoplifting. When Deputy Densmore arrived, he spoke with [WITNESS #1] “[WITNESS #1]” (Walmart Loss Prevention Staff).

Deputy Densmore accompanied Ms. [WITNESS #1] as she confronted a White female she had witnessed several times place property that belong to Walmart into her black shoulder purse. Ms. [WITNESS #1] requested the female to follow her to the Loss Prevention office, the female consented.

Once in the Loss Prevention office the white female (Kelsey D. Cross) did produce six (6) packs of LAV Highlife plastic nails (fake finger nails) that she had taken from the shelves of Walmart and placed in to her black shoulder purse. Total cash value of items taken from Walmart: $38.39. All items were returned to Walmart.

Kelsey D. Cross was taken into custody and transported to the Whitfield County Correction Center with no incident. Warrantless paperwork was taken on Ms. Cross (Warrant Number 64895, Theft by Shoplifting 16-8-14) and turned over to Whitfield County booking staff.
