On November 8th, 2025, at 2030 hours, I, Deputy Bagley, and Deputy Tilley were dispatched to [500 BLOCK] Cody Road in reference to a physical domestic dispute that had previously occurred.
Upon arrival, I made contact with [VICTIM #1], later identified as the complainant/victim, who stated that his son, Roe Turner, had assaulted him and had left the residence out the back door. Deputy Tilley and I began searching the rear of the residence and located Roe Turner in the back seat of a dark-colored SUV.
Upon contact, I gave Roe Turner verbal commands to exit the vehicle with his hands up. Roe Turner complied and was detained in handcuffs without incident. Deputy Tilley then escorted Roe Turner to his patrol vehicle while I spoke further with [VICTIM #1].
[VICTIM #1] stated that, prior to law enforcement’s arrival, Roe Turner became irate and aggressive after being confronted about taking [VICTIM #1]’s Lorazepam 0.5 mg pills. Roe Turner then began fighting with [VICTIM #1], causing a laceration to [VICTIM #1]’s left forearm, which I observed to be bleeding. [VICTIM #1] stated he began defending himself and eventually escorted Roe Turner out the back door of the residence. Roe Turner then went to the dark-colored SUV mentioned above.
I asked [VICTIM #1] about the medication that was taken. He stated that he originally had 89 pills in the container, had taken one earlier, and that 74 pills remained after he counted them. I confirmed this count, as both [VICTIM #1] and I counted the pills and found 74 pills remaining.
It was later made known to me and Deputy Tilley that Roe Turner had swallowed 15 pills, as Roe Turner also confirmed. At that time, we requested Bacon County EMS to respond for medical evaluation. Due to Roe Turner becoming increasingly disoriented, Deputy Tilley transported him to Bacon County Hospital for further treatment.
I documented the injury to [VICTIM #1]’s arm using my body-worn camera. Roe Turner was turned over to the Bacon County Hospital staff for medical treatment.
I will be applying for the following warrants:
- Battery (Family Violence) – on a person 65 years of age or older (Misdemeanor)
- Theft by Taking (Misdemeanor)
