On April 23rd, 2026, at approximately 2227 hours, Brandon Green made his first phone call to 911 emergency services. During the first call, Green stated that he was just having phone issues. Green then called multiple times stating the same thing. Green then called 911 again stating that he did need law enforcement. Green continuously hung up the calls and moved locations each time he called, making it difficult for us to locate him. Green then called stating he was being followed by an unknown subject. Officer Jordan Guy and I both rode the area that Green’s phone was pinging in and were unable to locate Green. (MPD case #202600016369)
Green then continued to call 911 continuously, while refusing to give a reason for calling or needing law enforcement. Green would only tell the 911 dispatchers to “chill out”. Green called 911 twenty-three times in approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes. Before I made contact with Green, he called 911 again and stated that he did not have an emergency and was walking home. Green’s phone at this time was pinging at East Walton and North Wayne Street.
While in the area, I saw a male walking north on North Wayne Street. Not knowing if it was who called, I pulled up next to the subject, later identified as Green, and asked if he called us for help. Green stated no, he did not call, and that his phone was dead. I asked if he was okay and he said yes and asked why I was asking him that. I stated that we had multiple calls from someone in the area and we were trying to make contact with them. He stated that it was not him. I turned around and he was laughing so I told him if it happened to be him calling, to not call 911 unless he had an emergency. Green asked what could happen and I explained that calling 911 continuously without an emergency or without reason, was against the law.
I then continued down Wayne Street to attempt to locate the subject who was calling. Roughly 30 seconds later, Baldwin County Dispatch advised that Green called back again, asking for another officer because “she is scary” referring to the interaction we had just prior to Green calling for the final time. I then turned around to make contact with Green again. Officer Jalen Webb got out with Green and placed him in handcuffs behind the back according to departmental policy. Officer Webb then searched Green incident to arrest and Green was placed in the back of my patrol vehicle and transported to the Baldwin County Law Enforcement Center.
