On 08/29/2025 at approximately 1707 hours, Officers were dispatched to Dollar General, located at 1550 North Columbia Street, in reference to a fight.

Upon my arrival, I made contact with the victim, 13-year-old [VICTIM #1] and his mother [WITNESS #1]. [VICTIM #1] stated the 3 black males had just jumped on him. [VICTIM #1] stated that the males slapped him spit on him and called him names. [VICTIM #1] stated that he did not know the males. [VICTIM #1] refused to make any further statement.

I spoke with [WITNESS #1], who stated that she was inside of the restroom at the time of the incident. [WITNESS #1] stated that she did not see the incident, but she believed the 3 male offenders had previously shot at her home.

I spoke with the witness [WITNESS #2], who stated that while she was working, she noticed the 3 male offenders enter the store. [WITNESS #2] stated that she knew that [VICTIM #1] and the 3 offenders did not get along, so she was watching them as much as she could while checking out customers. [WITNESS #2] stated that when she heard the 3 male offenders yelling at [VICTIM #1], she went to look for them. [WITNESS #2] stated that she observed [VICTIM #1] trying to walk away from the 3 male offenders as they pushed him. [WITNESS #2] stated that 1 of the males punched [VICTIM #1] and she got in between them and told the 3 males to leave.

[WITNESS #2] stated that she told the 3 males that she was going to call the Police, and they ran out of the store. [WITNESS #2] stated that the 3 offenders ran towards Legacy Mill Apartments. [WITNESS #2] stated that 2 of the males had on black jackets (1 of the 2 did not have on a shirt underneath) and 1 of the males had on a Chik fila uniform. [WITNESS #2] advised that the stores’ surveillance cameras captured the incident.

While looking at the camera footage, I observed 3 black males (2 wearing multi-colored jackets, and the 3rd male wearing what appears to be black pants and a red shirt) approach [VICTIM #1]. [VICTIM #1] is observed trying to walk away, but the 3 males then surrounded him. The 3 males then began to hit [VICTIM #1] and 1 male spits on him several times. [VICTIM #1] walked away, and the 3 males follow him. 1 of the males then punched [VICTIM #1] on the left side of his head as he was walking away.

I observed [WITNESS #2] step in between [VICTIM #1] and the males, and she pointed for the 3 males to leave. The 3 males then walked away. I did not observe any visible marks on [VICTIM #1].

Officers were able to locate the 3 males, and they were identified. Ja’Vion Teague, Jahquez Teague and Charlie Battle were all placed in restraints behind their back and transported to the Baldwin County LEC without incident.

Warrants were sworn for simple battery, cruelty to children (1st Degree), and disorderly conduct for all 3 males.
