I was dispatched to [2900 BLOCK] North Columbia Street Lot [REDACTED] in reference to a stabbing.

While on the phone with the victim, dispatchers were unable to understand the victim because of a language barrier. Dispatched connected the victim to the language line to translated. The language line confirmed the victim claimed to have been stabbed. Dispatched contacted EMS and the fire department to stage in the area until the scene was safe.

Upon my arrival, other deputies had arrived on scene and had two suspects detained. While searching for the victim, I made contact with Hector Xo IchIch and his son at Lot [REDACTED]. I asked all the residents at the home, if everyone was ok. Hector stated everyone was fine. Hector stated he did not know why we were at his home.

I radioed dispatch to call the phone number that contacted 9-1-1. Hectors phone started to ring. Hector attempted to conceal his phone in effort to avoid the deputies seeing it. I noticed his actions and asked Hector to see his phone to verify the number calling his phone was dispatch. Hector was asked to stand up and he was detained. Myself and other deputies continued searching for any possible victims but were unsuccessful. It was later determined that no stabbing had occurred.

Lt. Towe advised me that Hector would need to be placed under arrest for false report of a crime due to all of the resources used to assist on the false claim of a stabbing. It must be noted that Hector was extremely intoxicated while speaking to me. Hector was escorted to my vehicle and transported to the jail. He was turn over to jail staff without incident.

Hector Rene Xo IchIch charged with False Report of a Crime. A state warrant was issued.
