On 08/14/2026 at approximately 2003 hours, I responded to 2775 North Columbia Street, Wingstop in reference to a potential harassment.

Upon arrival I contacted A’Joyus Cherry outside in front of the location. Cherry stated that she was at the location to place a catering order but was upset because prior to arriving at the location Cherry attempted to place the order via phone. Cherry stated that the male subject she was on the phone with repeatedly ended the call while she was talking.

Cherry stated that while talking to the male subject at the register, [VICTIM #1] began yelling from the kitchen calling Cherry all types of vulgar names. Cherry stated she was then approached by another female at the register and that female made statements that “she can clock out” referring to [VICTIM #1]. Cherry stated she took that as if [VICTIM #1] wanted to fight so her and Janylia Greene began yelling and cussing at [VICTIM #1]. Both Cherry and Greene stated that [VICTIM #1] made comments referring to Cherry’s deceased child and how she would “lay Cherry next to the deceased child”. Chery stated upon hearing that her and Greene both made comments to [VICTIM #1] that they would beat her up. I advised Cherry and Greene to hang tight outside while I went inside to speak with [VICTIM #1].

Upon contacting [VICTIM #1], she stated that Cherry came to the location and began yelling and threatening to “beat her a*s.” I asked [VICTIM #1] if anyone else had heard the threats, [VICTIM #1] advised that all the individuals that were working at the location were present during the time that Cherry was inside. I asked the individuals if they would write a witness statement for me, two out of the five agreed to do so. [WITNESS #1] and [WITNESS #2] completed witness statement forms.

[WITNESS #1] stated that Cherry came into the location demanding that [VICTIM #1] not be the one in charge of making their food. [WITNESS #1] informed Cherry that [VICTIM #1] was not in the kitchen and that one of the other employees would be the one making their food. [WITNESS #1] stated that Cherry then started making statements that she would “beat her a*s” referring to [VICTIM #1] and that she would spit on both [VICTIM #1] and her child. [WITNESS #1] stated that he repeatedly told them to stop but it continued.

[WITNESS #2] stated that Cherry came into the restaurant being loud and saying that the employees were very rude for hanging the phone up on her. [WITNESS #2] stated that after Cherry asked for a manager, she began yelling and cussing, stating that she would “beat [VICTIM #1] up and spit on her child”. [WITNESS #2] stated that she advised Cherry that they needed to handle the situation outside of work, but she said that they would stay until [VICTIM #1] came out of the building.

I advised Officer Battle that we would be arresting both A’Joyus Cherry and Janylia Greene. Both of us walked out the front of the building and placed both A’Joyus Cherry and Janylia Greene in double-locking handcuffs with their hands behind their back in accordance with the Milledgeville Police Department Policy, both subjects were checked for proper fitment and double-locking feature was confirmed to prevent the handcuffs from tightening during transport.

Upon placing Cherry in the back seat of my patrol car, she advised me that she recorded the entire interaction from the time she walked into Wingstop until the time she walked out to meet with me. I asked Chery if I could look at the video, while reviewing the video on Cherry’s phone, Cherry called me over and advised me that she was bleeding and is currently three months pregnant. I advised dispatch to have EMS enroute to check her out. While waiting for EMS. Cherry began vomiting in my floorboard. Upon EMS arrival they conducted an evaluation of Cherry and concluded that Cherry needed to go to the hospital. Cherry was cited for Disorderly Conduct and turned over to EMS.

Janylia Greene was transported to the Baldwin County Jail, Cited for Disorderly Conduct and turned over to the jail staff without incident.

Due to insufficient probable cause and having an unbiased witness during the incident I am unable to pursue charges for terroristic threats, but both Cherry and Greene were cited for Disorderly Conduct.
