I was dispatched to [100 BLOCK] Hodges Lake Road in reference to an ongoing physical domestic between husband and wife. Dispatch informed me the alleged offender, Kayne Young, was known to drive a red Chevrolet Silverado 1500.
While enroute to [100 BLOCK] Hodges Lake Road, Deputy Henderson observed a vehicle matching the description provided at [100 BLOCK] Gordon Highway. Deputy Henderson, Lieutenant Condon, and I made contact with the driver of the vehicle, Kayne Young. Kayne was detained while Deputy Henderson made contact with the complainant, [VICTIM #1], at [100 BLOCK] Hodges Lake Road.
I made contact with Kayne behind his vehicle. Kayne stated he has been emotional lately due to an ongoing divorce with [VICTIM #1]. Kayne stated he went to [100 BLOCK] Hodges Lake Road to get his children, [REDACTED] and [REDACTED]. Kayne stated he destroyed items in the house out of anger toward [VICTIM #1]. However, he reiterated he never got physical with [VICTIM #1].
Deputy Henderson advised she made contact with [VICTIM #1] at [100 BLOCK] Hodges Lake Road. Deputy Henderson stated she observed the door to the residence had been kicked in. Deputy Henderson stated [REDACTED] and [REDACTED] were on scene when Kayne forcefully entered the residence. I then made contact with the Baldwin County 911 Center. 911 operators informed me that during the 911 call from [VICTIM #1], Kayne could be heard in the background screaming at her. Operators stated [VICTIM #1]’s phone could be heard progressively getting further away from her voice and the call ended abruptly in the middle of her speaking with them. Deputy Henderson advised [VICTIM #1] stated Kayne struck the phone from her hands and proceeded to end the 911 call.
[VICTIM #1] completed a written statement form that was filed with records. Kayne Young was transported to jail with no further incident. Three state warrants were secured on Kayne Young for disorderly conduct, simple battery (family violence), and interference with a 911 call.
