On 1/28/2026 at approximately 1501 hours, I was dispatched to the Milledgeville Police Department, 125 Floyd L. Griffin Jr. Street, where I contacted the complainant, [VICTIM #1], in reference to a theft.
[VICTIM #1] stated that in August 2025, she agreed to co-sign on her God-Nephew, Phillipe Scott’s, auto loan for a $8,000.00 vehicle. [VICTIM #1] stated that she signed the paperwork for a vehicle that was to her knowledge, $8,000.00 in value. [VICTIM #1] advised once she saw the vehicle, a 2025 Hyundai Sonata, Scott purchased, she knew she had been lied to. [VICTIM #1] stated she told Phillipe that he had to get her name off the paperwork regarding the vehicle because that’s not what the agreement was for. [VICTIM #1] stated the vehicle that was purchased was $49,000.00 and she did not give consent for anyone to sign her name on that amount of money.
[VICTIM #1] stated she went to the bank on 1/27/2026 and was informed she is now $141,419.00 in debt and has 3 new cars in her name that she knew nothing about. [VICTIM #1] attempted to contact the financial personnel at Hyundai of Milledgeville, 2520 North Columbia Street, Chris Paschal, to see what was going on and he would not provide her any information. [VICTIM #1] stated that someone at Hyundai of Milledgeville, 2520 North Columbia Street, attempted to make her sign a document to sign a title over, but she refused, as she wanted to file a report first. [VICTIM #1] stated she wishes to pursue charges on Phillipe Scott and whoever else was involved.
Copies of all documentation [VICTIM #1] had at the time of the report were gathered and placed into a OneDrive File. On-Call-Detective N. Reonas was notified of the incident by Sergeant Puerto.
