On 08/03/2025 at approximately 05:20 hours, I contacted complainant/victim, [VICTIM #1], at Milledgeville Police Department, 125 Floyd L Griffin Jr. Street, in reference to a domestic.
[VICTIM #1] stated she got off from working at Longhorn, 2470 North Columbia Street, at approximately midnight and returned to her residence, at [200 BLOCK] Barrows Ferry Road. [VICTIM #1] advised her ex-boyfriend, Terranice Womble, arrived at her residence and began a verbal argument with her. [VICTIM #1] stated Womble started an argument with her in reference to buying drugs behind his back. [VICTIM #1] stated the verbal argument became physical in her bedroom.
[VICTIM #1] advised she was laying on her bed when Womble came inside the room and started by throwing pillows at her and continued to escalate. [VICTIM #1] stated Womble hit her with a closed hand fist multiple times and started choking her. [VICTIM #1] advised Womble used his hands to choke her around the neck to the point where oxygen wasn’t getting sent to her brain. [VICTIM #1] stated due to how hard he was choking her she almost passed out. [VICTIM #1] was able to provide security camera footage which was in the bedroom. [VICTIM #1] stated when Womble left the residence, she decided to leave her residence and arrived at Milledgeville Police Department to report the incident.
After viewing security camera footage, I was able to confirm Womble was the aggressor in the incident. In the footage it shows Womble verbally and physically assault [VICTIM #1]. Womble is observed striking [VICTIM #1] several times with his hands and strangling her. The video was able to capture audio where it’s observed the victim, [VICTIM #1] made several statements to stop hitting her, however, Womble stays in the room and continues the assault.
Moments later at approximately 0630 hours, [VICTIM #1] placed a 911 call, in reference to Womble being outside her residence. Multiple Officers with Milledgeville Police Department arrived at [200 BLOCK] Barrows Ferry Road and were able to place Womble under arrest. Womble’s friend, [REDACTED] was also at the location and was served with a notice of prohibited entry by Officer Thomas.
Womble was placed in double locked handcuffs per department policy and transported to Baldwin County Law Enforcement Center, 119 Old Monticello Road without incident. A warrant for battery family violence and aggravated assault family violence were secured on Womble. A victim bill of rights was given to the victim. [VICTIM #1] was able to complete a witness statement form. Both body worm camera and patrol car cameras captured the incident.
