On 03/13/2022 at approximately 2210 hours, I responded to Riverbend Apartments Unit [REDACTED] at [100 BLOCK] North Lincoln Street in reference to a domestic problem.

I met with [VICTIM #1], who stated the father of her children, Tony Jordan, came to the residence around 2200 hours extremely irate. [VICTIM #1] stated Jordan was upset about his children not going to school like they should, and the argument quickly turned to Jordan telling the children that [VICTIM #1] did not love them. [VICTIM #1] said Jordan then ordered the children to go to their rooms, and he struck her in the face with a closed fist once the children were out of sight.

[VICTIM #1] stated after Jordan struck her, he produced a large knife from his pocket, which he placed against her throat then against her left temple while stating, “B*tch I will kill you.” While speaking with [VICTIM #1], I could see noticeable redness on her nose along with what appeared to be a small puncture wound near her left temple. The injuries were photographed and uploaded for evidence. [VICTIM #1] also declined needing EMS.

I then spoke with one of the children, [REDACTED BY AGENCY] [JUVENILE #1]. [JUVENILE #1] confirmed his mother’s story about the initial argument that began in the living room. [JUVENILE #1] stated after being ordered to his room; he snuck back to the edge of the living room, where he saw Jordan holding a knife to his mother’s throat while whispering something. [JUVENILE #1] described the knife as being large with a silver blade and black handle. [JUVENILE #1] stated Jordan left the residence soon after. It was confirmed Jordan was the father of [JUVENILE #1], along with another male juvenile in the home.

Although there were at least three other juveniles inside the residence at the time of the incident, only [JUVENILE #1] stated he witnessed the assault. [JUVENILE #1] provided a written statement which was also entered into evidence. Warrants for aggravated assault (family violence), battery (family violence), cruelty to children in the 3rd degree, and possession of a knife during the commission of a crime were secured for Jordan.

[VICTIM #1] was given a Victim’s Bill of Rights Pamphlet.
