On 07/20/2022 at approximately 1822 hours, I responded to [300 BLOCK] East Montgomery Street in reference to a domestic problem.
I spoke with [VICTIM #1] who advised she was assaulted by her boyfriend around 1600 hours. I observed injuries to [VICTIM #1]’s neck and face, which she informed me were from being choked and hit by her boyfriend.
[VICTIM #1] requested EMS due to feeling light headed after being strangled by her boyfriend. EMS arrived soon after and medically cleared [VICTIM #1]. [VICTIM #1] stated this was not the first time her boyfriend physically assaulted her, but this was the worst incident. [VICTIM #1] pointed to a set of bruises on her right leg from a previous incident. [VICTIM #1] then stated she believed the incident started due to relationship problems she was having with her boyfriend. [VICTIM #1] informed me items inside her house were damaged during the altercation.
[VICTIM #1] took me inside and I observed her room was in disarray with clothing thrown everywhere and various items all over the floor. [VICTIM #1] showed a time stamped picture of her mirror which was broken during the incident. [VICTIM #1] stated she had previously filed a police report on her boyfriend but since withdrew the report. During a record search, it appeared that [VICTIM #1]’ boyfriend was Tyquan Ingram. [VICTIM #1] later confirmed that Ingram was the one who physically assaulted and strangled her.
[VICTIM #1] was then provided with a Victim’s Bill of Rights pamphlet. Photographs of [VICTIM #1]’s injuries were taken and uploaded as evidence. Warrants were secured for Aggravated Assault, Criminal Trespass, and Battery.
